Everyone has a story, and Fox, O’Neill & Shannon’s founder Bill Fox’s is a lifelong one of excellence.

Many are aware that, in addition to his over five decades of legal practice, Bill was a leader in bringing The Great Circus Parade to Milwaukee. He serves as the longest running board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee, was inducted into its Hall of Fame, and received multiple MVP awards.  All are testaments to Bill’s longstanding contributions to the community.

What is less well known is that before even graduating high school, much less attending law school or founding FOS, Fox was an exceptional athlete and athletic team leader.

In recognition of his excellence, Bill has been inducted into the University School of Milwaukee’s (formerly Milwaukee Country Day School) 2022 Athletic Hall of Fame.

In addition to being captain and MVP of the basketball and track teams, Bill earned a combined seven varsity letters during his four years at the school. Bill also created a school record, unbroken to this day, by being awarded, for three consecutive years, the Herbert W. Oviatt Trophy, for showing the most “sportsmanship, loyalty, and enthusiasm for track.”
