April is National Volunteer Month.
Volunteering is one of the most important contributions you can make.
In many ways, it can have more impact on the volunteer and recipients than simply cutting a check.
FOS believes strongly in participating in volunteer activities and giving back to the community.
The firm, for example, participates each year in the Food From the Bar program, in which local law firms good naturedly compete while collecting nonperishable food products for donation. The firm’s commitment to giving back was confirmed by its receipt of multiple Participation Awards.
In addition to FOS itself, volunteering is important to the firm’s employees.
As only a few examples, shareholder Matt O’Neill is a member of the Leadership Team for the ALS Association Wisconsin chapter.
Shareholder Lauren Maddente and associate Kris Frkovic have volunteered at the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic.
Shareholder Laurna Kinnel has volunteered at House of Peace’s Volunteer Legal Clinic.
Business manager Jason Koehler volunteers for the non-profit Rivoli Cinema.
Firm founder Bill Fox continues his decades-long commitment to personal service through his volunteer activities with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee, Inc., for which he was honored with “MVP” and “Hall of Fame” Awards. Bill also volunteers with the Circus World Museum and the International Crane Foundation.
Join FOS. Volunteer in April, and through the rest of the year.
You’ll be glad you did. And so will the recipients of your generosity.
