Lauren Maddente primarily focuses her practice on civil litigation.
Clients trust Lauren to successfully handle litigation at all levels. Whether the issue is a multimillion-dollar contract dispute, a small claims matter, or an employment situation gone awry, Lauren analyzes each case to combine facts and strategy in a way that achieves successful outcomes for her clients. Vigorous when necessary, but always practical, Lauren stands ready to assist clients from the moment a dispute arises and, if necessary, through litigation. Lauren also works closely with the firm’s business and commercial groups and that experience helps her resolve business disputes efficiently.
Won a $218,500 verdict in a federal jury trial on a breach of contract claim.
Obtained favorable judgment in a civil jury trial involving serious injury, resulting in a substantial reduction in client’s liability for a $1.8 million verdict.
Successfully negotiated a settlement in a complex, multi-year-long, federal product liability case.
Participated in multiple litigation matters in Wisconsin and various states on behalf of clients with national and international businesses.
Responded to breaches of leases and real estate sale contracts, including litigating evictions and foreclosures.
Engaged in extensive discovery in several complex cases, including federal drug, RICO, and conspiracy cases.
Won multiple small claims trials, obtaining favorable results for clients.
Obtained successful result, without the need for litigation, for large company against principals who violated covenants not to compete.
Successfully negotiated optimal settlements, without the need for trial, in post-divorce matters involving child support modifications and placement.
